The IEEE Student chapter is conducting a Video Design Competition for producing motivational videos for prospective students at Prince Sultan University.
 

Eligibility

This competition is open to all Prince Sultan University students. It can be an individual work or a maximum of three members in a team. There is no restriction on students declared major program of study. Student from all major programs of study are welcome. All contestants must register before the competition through the registration form by 10th March 2019. Video submission should be made by 24th March 2019.

Rules

The Contest opens for entries on February 17, 2019 and closes March 24, 2019. Entries must be received by 11:59 pm on March 24, 2019.

 

Entrants may submit in one or more categories. However, only one (1) submission per team will be judged for each category. If multiple submissions from the same team are received per category, only the last submission will be judged.

 

Each team can do all the work of creating the video using ANY available development tools.

 

For your entries to qualify for consideration, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Complete registration form.

  • The submitted video should be at least 2 minutes and at most 3 minutes long.

  • Choose one of the programs under CCIS for your submission. The programs are:

    • CS program

    • SE program

    • CYS track

    • CS-DMS track

    • IS program

    • BCE Track

  • Submitted videos should be in English

  • Videos submitted by female students should not contain personal photos

  • Submitted videos should start with a 5 second PSU logo found here: www.ieeepsu.org/videos/StartingSequence.mpeg

  • Submitted videos should end with a QR-code linked to CCIS website: Use a video clip here: www.ieeepsu.org/videos/EndingSequence.mpeg

  • The main objective of the video is to motivate new (PYP)/prospective students to choose their majors

  • Focus on:

    • Clarify the programs and tracks

    • Technologies (Robotics, AI, Cloud, Graphics, DMS, E-commerce, Security, IoT etc...)

    • PSU Strengths (Qualified faculty, FHEA certified teachers, Research, Labs, Student clubs, etc… )

    • Courses/Certifications (Oracle/IBM, Microsoft, Cisco Certifications, etc… )

    • Development tools (Android, iOS apps, Python, DBMS, Web-dev etc)

    • PSU Alumni + Students


 

Entrants may only submit their own original works.


All submitted videos are subject to approval and may not be accepted if they are found to be offensive or in violation of copyright. This includes the use of copyrighted music, digital, movie, or printed works.

 

CCIS reserves the right to use the submitted videos on the CCIS Publications website and in other promotions.
